Around 2011 or 12 I began to stumble here from the front page going down a rabbit hole of links. Through 2013 and 14 working a job I hated, hours from family and friends I could escape for a few hours each night to a zany eclectic nook of the internet. After moving and helping an elderly relative battle dementia I became haunted listening to her regret how she didn’t by an MG or travel when she could. It was then in a 1/3 life crisis I purchased the 911 and vowed to do more events than just work.
The random group at the 2016 MaOppomeet is what I love about this place. Fearful of Mustang death, while a Saab drains coolant all over the place.
2017 would see more adventures with the Opporally
2018 would see even more exciting adventures with the Walesmeet
And Alps trip
Hoods up for Schaefft
2019 would bring another great tr ip to Spain.
And dispite a lot about 2020 sucking, the socially distanced oppohunt was as great as ever.
Through out all these years you’ve been here to distract, advise, entertain and comfort.

Mainly distract.
I really hope someday the world opens up again and I can come over for an Iceland Euromeet. Rent a Jimny and go see that corner of the world.

This is mainly just a welcome respite and mental health boost in the midst of many works and few pleasures. There have been many good times here for sure. I will miss Kinja just a little bit, mainly for the infinite backlog of content, but we will come back bigger and stronger than ever.
